Help me study for my Management class. I’m stuck and don’t understand.
Identify several teams you’ve worked on that had very different tasks. Which required more or less interdependence among members? How did that relate to the intensity of interaction required? When more interdependence was needed, did the team have the ability to deliver it? Why or why not?
What is your experience with highly diverse teams? When did the diversity lead to high performance, and when were the results disappointing? How can you link the ideas from this chapter and from Chapter 4 (Map, Bridge Integrate) to explain the performance?
Most people have worked on a team that does much of its work virtually, even if the team members are located in the same geography. How well have your virtual teams managed organization and discipline, getting to know people and context, and using a good portfolio of technologies? Have you developed strong rhythms? What other best practices have you observed?
