This assignment requires you to select a topic related to conflict, conflict resolution or negotiations, conduct research on your chosen topic and write a 5-7 page paper on your selected topic. You will be required to report and present your findings to the class. Your presentation will be graded separately.
Ms. Jennifer Smith and her staff are entering into difficult negotiations with the local union and need some ideas on strategies to use and pitfalls to avoid. At the same time, Ms. Smith and her staff have been involved in several employee conflicts originating from the organization’s departments. She could use some advice to train departments about correct procedures when dealing with employee conflict in the workplace. Your communications with Ms. Smith in this assignment should address either a conflict resolution related issue or a negotiation related issue but not both. The one page (1-page maximum) business formatted cover sheet should be written to Ms. Smith highlighting your findings from your Case Study paper either on negotiation or conflict resolution and to offer your assistance as you are quickly becoming a resource for the company on negotiations and conflict resolution.

Please select a topic from either the list above or on a negotiation or conflict resolution topic not listed and send your professor an email by Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. to seek approval of your selected topic.. Only two students will be allowed to report on the same topic. Your professor will review your email and approve your chosen topic if you are one of the first two to select the chosen topic.
Submit the Case Study Paper for evaluation. The submission shall include a business format letter which counts for 1 page and your 5-7 page report with the business format letter counting for 1 of the 5-7 pages. Please submit your document in a PDF format.
