SOCIAL WORK RESEARCH
For this assignment, you will choose a topic related to social work. Your topic needs to be specific enough to target your literature search and recommendations. Your topic should consist of a minimum of three components: a social problem or phenomena, a particular population impacted by it, and a type of intervention (such as a policy, practice, or program) to address it. Example: Transitional living programs (intervention) to address homelessness (social problem) among youth (a population). Areas on which there is already a great deal of research may require further refinement, such as group therapy (intervention) to address depression (social problem) among homeless youth (population). Your topic must be approved by the instructor before you begin writing. Reviewing literature and finding an exact focal topic is an iterative process that may require broadening or narrowing as you review relevant research articles.
