Below are three virtual museum experiences. Select ONE, and complete the videos and/or virtual tours that go with your selected museum. Write a response.

Your response should include the following: 1) what the museum is like for visitors (include details–how works are displayed, the types of rooms included, etc., so I know you got a sense of the place), 2) the types of works that can be seen there (most museums include a broad range, so mention multiple types, periods, etc.), and 3) a description of two specific works of art from the museum (this section should be at least 2 paragraphs per work of art–include details about the work, the artist, the period in which it was created, the media, etc.). Please feel free to use outside sources for more info on the works, or any other aspect of the museum you choose.

Depending on where you visit, you may see a specific exhibition, or you may just observe a general collection. Your project should consist of the following:

– 1-2 paragraphs regarding the museum or gallery as a whole–how is it arranged? What are your impressions of the works? You may address aspects of the exhibition or collection that you liked or disliked; you may make connections between something you saw and something that has been addressed in class.

– Select two specific works of art that you see and write 1-2 paragraphs about each work. You may have to do research outside of the museum or gallery to find information for your paragraphs. Cite any sources you use. What you write about may be related to the artist, subject matter, media, or style of the works of art.
